172 Airbox

A common problem on all single engine Cessnas is years of deterioration and inadequate repairs to the carburetor airbox.  We've seen so many of these damaged with loose hardware, just waiting to come apart.  This is a very dangerous situation as hardware, or debris can be ingested by the engine which could lead to a carburetor that cannot be controlled, or a seized engine.

We make the correct repairs and ensure many more years of trouble free operation.  One thing we also recommend on aircraft with damaged air boxes is a dynamic balance of the propeller.
